The Real Meth Project
by Bo Stuart
You got it right, the sign does promote meth use. That is because meth use is consistent with evolutionary thought and presuppositions. Everything is by chance, there is no moral right or wrong and we are not made in the image of God. Everything is random. It is simply one random molecule bumping into another. If evolutionary thinking is true then there is nothing either right or wrong about meth use, there is nothing right or wrong about Columbine High School, there is nothing right or wrong about cutting up tiny babies in the womb, and there is nothing right or wrong with taking an innocent man and killing him in the most painful way possible via crucifixion, because there are no absolute moral rights or wrongs. Join the crowd and shout “crucify Him, crucify Him”. There is no such thing as objective truth, beauty and goodness.
If on the other hand we are created in God’s image, if we bear the imago dei, then meth is wrong because it destroys the imago dei, Columbine is wrong because it destroys the imago dei, abortion is wrong because it destroys the imago dei, and there is such a thing as objective truth, beauty and goodness because we have been made in the image of the Triune God. It is in Him that we live and move and have our being. It is in Him that we can appreciate truth, beauty and goodness.
Our state schools have taught our children that they are the product of chance from the time they are in Kindergarten. I must say, I have to hand it to the kids that are on drugs and meth. They at least know how to follow an argument and carry it out to its logical absurd destructive conclusion. Meanwhile the parents and teachers wring their hands and try countless programs like DARE and television ads that do nothing against the argument that has been seared into the brains of our children from day one. I will hand it to the Montana Meth Project, they at least portray meth use for what it really is, but they offer no real solution.
But there is a solution; there is a balm in Gilead. The man whom you crucified now sits and rules from Zion and requires that you take His yoke upon yourself. You are slaves to the one whom you obey. Even Bobby Zimmerman understood that; “you have to serve someone”. The one path leads to ugliness and death. There is no beauty in it other than what appears on the surface at first glance. Do not be deceived, it is beautiful to look at. “It was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise”. But it leads to death. The other path leads to life. In it can be found truth, beauty and goodness. What must I do to follow that path? Repent, turn from the one path to the other, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins. Come, and you will be like a tree planted by rivers of water, that brings forth fruit in its season and whose leaf shall not wither. Come and be healed, there is a balm in Gilead.
